From July 28 to August 2, edition number 2 of 2nd Bangkok Summer International Chess Open is played in Bangkok, with THB 105,000 in prizes. It's made up of 2 groups for different rating levels.

Groups
- Standard Open: all ratings, 9-round Swiss. Fees: free/1,000 THB (GM/IM/2400+), 3,500/4,500 (2000+), 5,500/6,500 (under 2000), 7,500/8,500 (unrated). Prize for 1st: 70,000 THB.
- Standard Challenger: under 2000 or unrated, 9-round Swiss. Fees: 3,000/4,000 THB (under 2000), 4,000/5,000 (unrated). Prize for 1st: 15,000 THB.
Parallel side events: Blitz (9 rounds), Super Rapid (7 rounds), Youth Rapid U7/U9/U11/U13 (7 rounds).
Early registration deadline: June 15, 2026.
Playing system
Classical time control: 40 moves in 90 minutes, then 30 minutes to finish, plus a 30-second increment per move from move 1.
