- Masters: aimed at FIDE-rated players, GM/IM norm opportunities.
- Open: open to all players, no rating restriction.
Playing system
9-round Swiss, classical time control: 40 moves in 90 minutes, then 30 minutes to finish, plus a 30-second increment per move from move 1.
Schedule
August 22-30, 2026, one round per day at 15:00 CEST (following the festival’s usual pattern; pending exact confirmation for the 2026 edition).

Registration
Fees vary by group and FIDE rating. +€20 late-registration surcharge (after August 5, 2026). Discounts of -€10 (disability/under 18/over 60) and -€15 (ŠK Skalica members) until August 10, 2026.
Prizes
€15,000 total (festival record). Masters: €3,000 for 1st, €2,000 for 2nd, €1,500 for 3rd, plus category prizes, best Slovak player and under-18.
