Format
Official European Chess Union championship by national teams, squads of 4 players. Age categories by birth year: Open 50+ (1976 or earlier) and Open 65+ (1961 or earlier), with women’s divisions in each category. 9-round Swiss system.
Classical time control: 40 moves in 90 minutes, then 30 minutes to finish, plus a 30-second increment per move from move 1.
Schedule
August 26: arrivals. August 27: technical meeting (10:30) and Round 1 (15:00). Rounds 2-5: August 28-31 (15:00 daily). Rounds 6-8: September 1-3 (15:00 daily). Round 9: September 4 (15:00), closing ceremony (21:00). September 5: departures.

Hotel Royal Belvedere Hersonissos, Hersonissos, Crete, Greece.
Registration
€100 ECU team fee + €100 registration fee per player/companion; €200 per player for late entries. Deadline: June 26, 2026.
Prizes
